The New Year brings new year resolutions. Some of mine are to read more books, indulge in more quiet time, grow more plants, and focus on myself. I love a good book and watching movies based on books so I can compare them. Here are 18 must-read books becoming movies in 2018 that I’m adding to my must-read list for this year.

Based on the book: The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter

About: The classic tail of rebellious rabbit Peter Rabbit trying to sneak into farmer McGregor’s vegetable garden. A good one to take the kids to!

50 Shades Freed

Based on the book: 50 Shades Freed by E.L. James

About: Book three in the 50 Shades of Gray series. Follow Christian and Ana to see what their future together holds. A must-read if you enjoyed the first 2 in the series.

Based on the book: Every Day by David Levithan

About: A 16 year old who falls in love with a traveling soul. This soul wakes up in a different body, as a different person each day.

The War with Grandpa

Based on the book: The War with Grandpa by Robert Kimmel Smith

About: At first Peter is excited to have Grandpa come live with them. But, after being forced to give up his room to Grandpa, this mischievous boy devises pranks to get Grandpa to move out. (I can remember reading this book when I was in elementary school and just bought it for my little girl before writing this post!)
